On October 11, 1941, the first wheels of Maytag Blue Cheese were formed and put to age in our caves. Today, the tradition continues.

A Time-Honored Process

Today, we still make each wheel by hand. Our cheesemakers carefully monitor each wheel as it ages – developing the beautiful blue veining and our signature flavor.
